Acquisition Strengthens Toprankers' Presence in Legal Education and Exam Preparation
Digital learning platform Toprankers has announced its acquisition of Indore-based legal test prep startup, The Lex Guru. Following the acquisition, the legal test prep startup has been rebranded as Judiciary Gold.
The acquisition of Judiciary Gold, formerly known as The Lex Guru, will enable Toprankers to extend its reach in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and neighboring regions, according to the company.
Founded in 2014 by Harsh Gagrani, Karan Mehta, and Gaurav Goel, Toprankers is a digital counseling and exam preparation platform that focuses on career paths beyond engineering and medicine.
With a community of over 500,000 students, the digital learning platform provides exam preparation resources for a range of disciplines, including judiciary, law, management, design, and architecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Toprankers also highlights that approximately 25,000 learners have completed its online and offline courses.
Speaking on the acquisition, Gaurav Goel, Co-Founder and CEO of Toprankers, said,

The Lex Guru is Toprankers' second legal-focused acquisition, as the company also operates LegalEdge, a platform dedicated to preparing students for exams such as the Common Universities Entrance Test-Law (CUET-Law), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and other undergraduate and postgraduate law exams.
This acquisition marks Toprankers' second acquisition in 2023. In April, the company acquired career guidance platform ProBano in a cash-and-stock deal, signaling its entry into the career discovery and guidance segment.
