Gurugram-based fitness startup Spectacom Global has successfully raised INR 11 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter Health, an initiative by Zerodha founders Nithin Kamath and Nikhil Kamath.
Spectacom claims to own India's only vernacular holistic health & wellness app, getmybib.com, and holds a majority stake in The Devils Circuit. The raised capital will be utilized to drive growth by launching additional participative intellectual properties (IPs) and investing in content development, marketing, and hiring.
Founded in 2020 by Zeba Zaidi and Adnan Adeeb, Spectacom aims to expand across four key verticals: Events, Health-tech, Ticketing, and Media properties. Adnan Adeeb, co-founder of Spectacom, expressed optimism about the growth and consolidation in the Health & Wellness space, emphasizing their focus on building stable businesses with a strong bottom line. With Nithin Kamath on board, Spectacom aims to revolutionize the fitness space and democratize fitness, particularly targeting Corporate India. As part of their approach, they plan to offer BunkerFit, a fitness program, to all corporate employees for free.
Spectacom's BunkerFit app offers modules for training, yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition. Available in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the app aims to reach a wide audience across India and provide essential tools and support for improving personal health and wellness.
Nithin Kamath, founder of Rainmatter Health, expressed his support for Spectacom's mission and emphasized the importance of prioritizing personal health. The collaboration aims to bring about positive changes in personal health on a larger scale.
